Dirk the Lazy, Dirk unlikely, Dirk the Last Hope. Join our weak-jawed, low calorie-intake, thin and clueless hero on a quest to escape a maddening mansion of a admiral has-been-lunatic-now Sir Bates. How did he get here? Why is he here? For what purpose? None of that matters as the only task at hand is to escape this prison!

Ok, now for all seriousness, Welcome to the DemoDayDirk. A vertical slice/demo/trialish game with a large level, couple of NPCs, a handful of enemies, items to pick, combine and use, unfair pits to jump and couple puzzles to solve, all with a tint of light humour.

RPG elements play a large role as with different stats your options to tackle certain tasks are unlocked. An intricate system of perks modifies the way you play. Fight, run, jump, climb, sneak, steal, charm or deduce your way out of any situation. Of course at the very beginning your stats are abysmal, so not all is possible at hand. With consecutive clears you earn extra stat points to distribute, so you can unlock the full potential of our hero. More than a handful of endings are present.

Classic control scheme:

• Z to interract, talk, pick up things, use items from your inventory
  
• X to attack and cancel your selections
• C to jump
• Down to Sneak, climb down ladders and stairs
• Up to enter doors, climp up ladders and stairs
• Left/Right to move
